Jim Little Story
The plumeria business, which started as a hobby in 1973 , has become known today as Jim Little Nursery & Farms. High quality plumeria trees growing on vast acreage overlooking the blue Pacific on the North Shore of Oahu, a reputation for excellence soon emerged. This tradition has contributed substantially to the ever growing popularity of the plumeria among plant admirers around the world.
Jim’s enthusiasm for plumeria began when Bill Moragne, the pioneer of hybridizing, demonstrated to him the technique of cross-pollinating. As a result of this knowledge, JL Pink Pansy was created and became his first success. Subsequently, some of the most exotic color combinations, fragrances, compact growers, dwarf and miniatures were introduced by Jim to the plumeria world.
Jim Little Plumeria Farm has the following goals:
To share the plumeria beauty and tropical splendor; already a Polynesian tradition.
To introduce the joy of plumeria collecting.
To provide only truly named cultivars and colors.
The farm, which has not been open to the public for many years, celebrated its 50th anniversary in the spring of 2023, and opened its doors to the public with a new tour as LITTLE PLUMERIA FARMS. Three generations, including a son and a grandson, have been sharing the beauty of plumeria.
